While all eyes are on the highly popular and impressive Samsung Galaxy S8 and its big brother the Galaxy S8 Plus, the upcoming galaxy Note 8 has had its share of buzz. Some rumors even indicate that the next Samsung flagship phablet may be even better than the Galaxy S8.

The latest on the Galaxy Note 8 is that it may sport a dual camera system. Valuewalk reported that news of the phablet having the high-end feature that was expected to be on the Galaxy S8 came all the way from South Korea.

According to “MK News”, the Korean conglomerate is “reviewing the benefits of dual cameras internally and will release products within the year”. The news backs up the dual camera set-up rumor which originated from esteemed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo while also confirming that the Note 8 will come this year.

A previous leak revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will likely come with a 6.4-inch 4K AMOLED display though some say it may be QHD+ instead. What’s more impressive is that the bezels will be slimmer than that of the Galaxy S8.

The successor to the doomed Galaxy Note 7 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or Exynox 9XXX. Also rumored is a possible 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

Other possible features of the Galaxy Note 8 include the use of the latest Android Nougat operating system and the inclusion of Bixby, Samsung’s own digital assistant. The Galaxy Note 8 may also be equipped with VR support, Stylus Pen, and the TouchWiz feature.

Interestingly, another rumor said that the Galaxy Note 8 will have an edge-to-edge foldable display. The phablet will supposedly have a 5.7-inch display that can be unfolded to reveal a bigger device.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will surely be as good as or even better than the Galaxy S8 in terms of specifications. One thing that the next phablet will have is the opportunity to correct one of the more annoying mistakes of the flagship smartphone.

Samsung should transfer the awkwardly placed fingerprint sensor. The better location of the feature should be either at the center of the Galaxy Note 8’s back or embedded underneath the display.

Samsung head of mobile DJ Koh has already confirmed to CNET that the Galaxy Note 8 will be indeed launched this year. Rumors have the release date to be sometime during the latter half of 2017. Source: itechpost
